Academic Success

Woodburn Lutheran School strives to provide academic excellence for all students.  The WLS teaching staff consists of Indiana-licensed teachers who are dedicated to giving each student the best opportunity to succeed.  Woodburn Lutheran School provides a rigorous curriculum that challenges students in core academic disciplines.  The WLS teachers integrate technology, utilizing SMART Boards and iPads, to promote student engagement and personal responsibility in education.  Each Pre-school through 8th classroom has a SMART Board and iPads are used throughout the school.  Students also experience a differentiated learning environment in which students are provided the opportunity to develop excellent learning skills through creative projects and hands-on learning experiences.  Learning support includes retired school teacher tutoring during school hours, speech therapy provided by EACS, teacher/parent conferences, and academic progress on RenWeb.
