Due to the holidays, we decided to combine the November and December Lunch & Learns to be respectful of your limited availability this time of year.

For this next Lunch & Learn, we will do a brief update from the Allen County Department of Health including the following topics:

* Norovirus information and EPA cleaning recommendations in the event of an outbreak
* Pediatric Pneumonia in Allen County Update
* Overview of School Liaison offerings

Then, we will have 3 guest speakers from Bowen Health, Maple Heights Behavioral Health, and Parkview Behavioral Health. They will each be speaking about the important services their organizations offer students, including both inpatient and outpatient care, as well as answer your questions about what you can do in the event a child at your school experiences a mental health crisis. Many people working in schools know the warning signs, but sometimes struggle with knowing who to call or how to connect students to resources in the community. The goal of this meeting is to make this information more clear, and allow those working in schools to ask questions about how they can best serve their students in this situation. This is truly life saving information you will not want to miss! Any resources they share can be sent out to attendees after the meeting via email if requested.

As always, I will be recording the meeting and posting it to our Webpage (School Outreach | Allen County Department of Health) and our YouTube channel (AllenCountyHealth - YouTube) for those who would like to watch at a later time. The October Lunch & Learn is posted now.
